  • Hi Blue, mom says being outside with us and walking us every day has been a saving grace for her. She always did walk us every day, but we think she likes this time in particular because of being in the house otherwise.
It was really chilly this morning compared to the past few days. It was mid 50s when we walked, so of course she had on a tee and a long sleeved shirt over the capris.
Mom's sister picked her up really early for the eye appointment. She had to sit in the parking lot while mom went in. They had the door locked and came out to ask mom questions about her health and took her temperature before she could go in. Of course she wore a mask, as did everyone else there. They never called her back until 5 minutes after her appointment time, and she was there for about an hour and a half. They did a full workup, and mom got the injection in her left eye as usual. There was some good news though. The doctor said she doesn't have to come back for 14 weeks! He's hoping to get her out to every 4 months if possible. Mom is sure that's a possibility, since today's pictures looked exactly like the last ones from 12 weeks ago. There is a diabetic change to her right eye, but that's to be expected, he said, and it shouldn't affect her vision.
So, other than walking us, mom did nothing else for the rest of the day. Her eyes were dilated so she couldn't sew or read, and it was too cool to do any yard work, so mom watched TV all day. What a boring day! I hope your day was a delight, and you had a lovely evening, too. Hugs and kisses, [] [] [] [] [] Polly and Daisy
